Fondata nel 1991, il TIPA (Technical Imaging Press Association) è un'associazione NO profit composta da 28 tra le più importanti testate giornalistiche, inerenti la fotografia, di tutto il mondo.Dal 1991 i soci TIPA si riuniscono almeno una volta all'anno nell'assemblea generale per discutere progetti, condividere opinioni e commentare le innovazioni e le tendenze dell'industria fotografica.
Durante questi giorni d'incontri, i rappresentanti delle riviste TIPA votano anche i migliori prodotti fotografici e imaging dell'anno. Nei giorni scorsi il TIPA ha scelto la migliore attrezzatura fotografica del 2020 suddivisa in 40 prodotti differenti.
